JONZI D
Jonzi D has been described as the 'ultimate hip hop renaissance man'. He is an MC, poet, writer and activist; choreographer; director & theatre maker and philosopher.
He is Associate Artist at Sadler's Wells with residence in the theatre. He curates their annual Hip Hop festival Breakin' Convention.
His new work TAG opens in Nottingham on 31 January and tours until March.
CECIL HELMAN
Dr Cecil Helman is a South African born medic who practiced as a ship's doctor, as a GP in London for many years. He is currently Professor of Medical Anthropology at Brunel and Senior lecturer in Dept. Primary Care and Popular Sciences at the Royal Free and University College Medical School.
His autobiography Suburban Shaman - tales from medicine's frontline is published by Hammersmith Press at £9.99.
VANESSA LEAGH-HICKS
Vanessa Leagh-Hicks is a dancer and choreographer, and was the rather outspoken dance coach on BBC 1's Strictly Dance Fever.
For two weeks only she is playing the role of Velma Kelly in CHICAGOat the Adelphi Theatre. Vanessa has been in the show since it opened on 18 November 1997, and, in spite of being first cover for Velma and being the West End Dance Supervisor, this will be her first opportunity to play one of the lead roles in her own right.
