CHRIS TERRILL
Chris Terrill is a documentary filmmaker and his latest venture Shipmates concentrates on his time with HMS Chatham in the Gulf and their subsequent mercy mission to Asia after the tsunami struck. The accompanying book is also called Shipmates and the first programme in the series was shown on 22 November on BBC 1.
KEVIN DAY
Kevin Day is a comic who is well known for his appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and They Think Its All Over. He is supporting campaigns against domestic violence and appears on 27 November at the CC Club Piccadilly Circus in a gig entitled No Slap Just Tickle .
JUNE HAIMOFF
June Haimoff is now 82 and has lived in Turkey since 1984. In 1986 she began a successful campaign to protect the nursing site of the logger head sea turtles on Dalyan Beach . Her autobiography Breakfast with Kaptan June has just been published.
DAVID ROTHENBERG
David Rothenberg is a Professor of Philosophy and Music at the New
Jersey Institute of Technology. His latest book Why Birds Sing is published by Penguin press on 24 November at £17.99
