ANNABELLE BOND
Annabelle Bond is a mountaineer and was the world's fastest woman to complete the seven summits (in 360 days), which she completed in May this year. She was one of the nominees for Woman of the Year, 2005.
FATHER JAMES MCCASKILL
Father James McCaskill is a newly qualified priest from the United States who has accepted a five year contract to turn around the flagging fortunes of the church in a former mining village called Lundwood. His efforts are filmed for Channel 4's Priest Idol which goes out in three parts at 8pm from Monday November 14.
ROMULUS WHITAKER
Romulus Whitaker is an expert snake handler and leading Indian herpetologist. He won a Whitley Award this year for his work with the King Cobra, the world's largest venomous snake.
He is giving a talk at London Zoo this Sunday,13 November, and has a TV programme tonight, The King Cobra and I is on BBC 2 at 8pm.
KULJIT BHAMRA
Kuljit Bhamra is a British Asian musician who has written tracks for award winning films including Bhaji on the Beach and Bend It like Beckham. He also composed music for the West End 's adaptation of The Far Pavilions. His latest CD Himalayan Dawn is just released .
