SIMON JONES
Simon Jones is an actor, perhaps best known to Radio 4 listeners as the voice of Arthur Dent in the seminal radio and television series by Douglas Adams - The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. He has a cameo role in the new film adaptation; and returns to play his original role in the final leg of the journey which can be heard on Radio 4 from Tuesday 3 May, at 6.30pm.
ALEXANDER MASTERS
Alexander Masters worked in a hostel with the homeless. He first met Stuart Shorter when he saw him begging in a shop doorway. Alexander came to know Stuart, discovered the history of his corruption, and agreed to write his life story. Stuart died under a train. His story is told in Stuart - A Life Backwards, published by Fourth Estate, at £12.99.
HOLLY WILLIAMS
The singer/songwriter Holly Williams is the grand-daughter of country legend Hank Williams.
She has released her debut album The Ones We Never Knew, on the Universal South label. She is currently on a tour of the UK/Eire and will be performing in Sheffield, Wolverhampton, Glasgow, Kilkenny and Dublin.
VAYU NAIDU
Vayu Naidu is a storyteller. Her latest venture is with composer Judith Weir and tabla player Sarvar Sabri. They revisit the Greek and Tamil myths, a collaboration with Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.The work is premiered on April 29 at the CBSO Centre, Birmingham; and then tours throughout Britain to York, Dartington, Manchester, Ledbury, Shrewsbury - ending at The Sage, Gateshead, on 29 May.
