 This week, Libby Purves celebrates her twentieth anniversary as presenter of Midweek.

DEBBIE GREENWOOD Debbie Greenwood was a guest on Libby's first programme. She had just won the title of Miss Great Britain 1984. After the contest she went from Beauty Queen to Breakfast Time, in what was the start of her long and varied presenting career. She's since worked on many Radio and Television programmes including: BBC 1’s Breakfast Time and Garden Party, BBC 2's Tricks of the Trade, Open House on C5, QVC Shopping Channel; and also on LBC and R2.
PO BRONSON Po Bronson is an American writer. He has recently published the fruits of over 70 interviews he conducted with people who made big career changes. Having left a lucrative but unfulfilling job in Silicon Valley for the risky world of novel-writing, he was surprised at how many people he came across who had made a similar move. CHARLOTTE BINGHAM Charlotte Bingham is a best-selling author and, along with her husband, Terence Brady, has written for television programmes including: No Honestly, Upstairs Downstairs and Take Three Girls. Her parents worked for M15. The thriller writer John Le Carre disclosed that his fictional spy George Smiley was based on her father, John Bingham. DR. GEOFF SMITH Dr. Geoff Smith is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Bath. He is also the leader of the British Mathematical Olympiad team. The squad has recently been on tour to visit Tata, Budapest, and train with the Hungarian squad. In July, they’ll represent the UK in Greece.
