Tuesday 14 June Listen to 14 June NEW PRESENTER DENISE LEIGH You can find out more about our new guest presenter Denise Leigh on her website at www.deniseleigh.com UPDATE ON HOUSING ASSOCIATION AND GUIDE DOGS Guest: Tom Pey, Head of Policy at Guide Dogs for the Blind. You may remember the plight of Yvonne Grimstone, who moved into a flat in Purley, which is managed by the Kingsdale Housing Association. There she ran into difficulties when she tried to make arrangements for her new guide dog. The main objections were the way in which the dog was to be toileted, despite pets being allowed in the flats. Despite a member of GDBA visiting the housing complex and talking with Kingsdale staff, agreement could not be reached and Mrs Grimstone stood to lose Dolcie, her new guide dog. The GDBA have managed to reach a compromise between the Kingsdale Estate and Mrs Grimestone.
