Sandi Toksvig dons her binoculars and heads for the Old Moor RSPB bird reserve in South Yorkshire where her guests recount their tales of worldwide close encounters of the avian kind.

Niall Ashdown, Comedian, writer, performer, birder Niall is a comedian, actor, improviser and writer. He is a regular guest with the Comedy Store Players. He has been an enthusiastic birder since childhood and in 2000 Niall accompanied his father on an organised birding trip to Hungary. This trip provided the inspiration for his one man show Hungarian Bird Festival, subsequently adapted for radio.
William Fiennes, Journalist, author and amateur bird enthusiast William Fiennes has contributed to the Observer, the Daily Telegraph and the Times Literary Supplement. His first book ‘The Snow Geese’ ISBN 0-330-37579-2 is published by Picador and is about his journey to the United States and Canada to follow the migration of the snow geese.
