Janice Pearce is Dirk Gently's somewhat surly secretary. Her mood might be improved by getting her salary regularly paid, which explains why she resigns from her post to join British Airways as a check-in operator at Heathrow. Unfortunately Janice happens to encounter - and upset - Thor, the God Of Thunder on her first day at work, which results in her spending much of the rest of the new series metamorphosed into a Vending Machine for soft drinks.
