Lost in Austen
New ITV drama in which modern day Amanda Price is trapped in the apparently real world of Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice. As a time-traveller in a literary classic, Miss Price must avoid upsetting the plot of the much-loved novel.

Lost in Austen is on ITV1 at 21.00 on Wednesday 3 September

Hedda
In a reworking by Lucy Kirkwood of the 19th century classic, Ibsen’s tragedy is transformed to modern day London. World premiere at the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill

Hedda is at the Gate Theatre in London until 27 September 2008

Winning a host of international film awards, Turkish born Reha Erdem’s film shows the pain of childhood in the Turkish countryside where all life is structured around the five daily calls to prayer.

He brings together a colourful tapestry of Egyptians and Americans all pursuing different objectives at the University of Illinois’s medical school in Chicago.

Annie Caufield’s radio drama depicts the life of Irish writer best known as Flann O’Brian at a time when he struggles with drink, his job as a civil servant, and the growing realisation that his masterpiece The Other Policeman may not after all be published as quickly as he’d expected. Stars Ardal O'Hanlon, Dermot Crowley, Dara O'Briain and Pauline McLynn.
