Philip Glassborow explores the origins of Maurice Sendak's classic children's book Where the Wild Things Are. Contributors include Sendak's British editor Judy Taylor, his long-time friend playwright Tony Kushner, children's literature expert Leonard Marcus and the children of Little Milton Primary School in Oxfordshire.

The programme features readings by Henry Goodman and extensive use of Jewish Klezmer music.
