As Life of Pi by Yann Martel is published in illustrated form, a look at illustrated books for adults. An international competition to find an illustrator for The Life of Pi was awared to Croatian illustrator Tomislav Torjanac. Kate Mosse on the illustrated version of her best selling book Labyrinth and illustrator Chris Riddel on the importance of pictures to fiction.
