FRENCH EROTIC FILMS
Respectable mainstream contributor, Tartan Films has just released a movie with the filthiest of all certificates, R18. The Good Old Naughty Days consists of extracts from 12 French blue films made between 1905 and 1925. Lynda Nead, Professor of the History of Art at Birkbeck College reviews.
The Good Old Naughty Days, certificate R18 opens 23 April at The Other Cinema in London. Screening in other areas is the decision of local councils.

LUCIANO BERIO
Experimental composer, Luciano Berio, who died last year, is the subject of the two week Omaggio music festival in London. Front Row explores Berio's Sinfonia, a musical event drawing on the political events of 1968, with composer and broadcaster Michael Berkeley and Jukka-Pekka Saraste, who will conduct the work next week.
The BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jukka-Pekka Saraste, perform Berio's Sinfonia at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Tuesday 27 April as part of the Omaggio festival of Berio's music.
The concert is broadcast on Radio 3 on Wednesday 28 April at 7.30pm

Adolescent fantasy film Donnie Darko is to be re-released in the US and UK in a new 'director's cut'. Film writer and European Editor of Vanity, Adam Dawtrey, discusses why distributors decide to re-screen selected films.
The new director's cut of Donnie Darko will be re-released in cinemas across the country this summer.
