shortMAN has an impressive international performance history. He has performed alongside artists like Kahlil Almustafa and NerCity in New York's prestigious NuYoricans Café and Bembe Segue and Michelle Escoffery in London's prestigious Jazz Café. This former Kindred Spirit Resident has also been billed alongside Sean Escoffery at London's Rhythm Factory and has opened for Patrick Augustus of Baby Father Fame at Birmingham's Acfest. shortMAN also appears on TY's critically acclaimed album Upward. He has published two short works, Rapoetry … In Print and ShortMAFRICAN.

His many awards and nominations include the Aroma Poetry Slam, Farrago Zoo Award for Best Farrago Debut Performance of 2002, Carlton Multicultural Achievement Award Nominee for 2003 and The Hammer & Tongue Slam Champion of Black History Month 2004.

He has performed at the New York Nuyorican Poets Café and the Black Lily night in Philadelphia (home to Jill Scott and the Roots), as well as at the Edinburgh Festival. He runs workshops in schools and his album Poetry in the Key of Gee was released to critical acclaim.
