Clarrie and Eddie's elder son has the well-connected Caroline Sterling as godmother but it's a fairy godmother he could really have done with. After the death of Greg Turner, Brian Aldridge was persuaded to promote Will to head keeper at the combined Grey Gables, Berrow Estate and Home Farm shoot, with a tied cottage to boot. This was topped off in August 2004 by his marriage to the lovely Emma Grundy (née Carter) and the arrival a few months later of their son George. But oh, how things changed when Emma left Will for his hated brother Ed. A bitter divorce followed, in which George became the totem of their mutual resentment. Will isn't much of a Cher fan, but If I Could Turn Back Time must be his theme tune.
