Tony's sisters Jennifer Aldridge and Lilian Bellamy may have married money but Tony married brains, in the shape of Pat, and it's been an effective partnership. As the back room boy, Tony produces Bridge Farm's raw material - high quality organic milk and veg. Pat and her dairy workers turn the milk into yoghurt and ice cream, and daughter Helen converts small amounts into cheese. The veg is sold to a co-op, through their own box scheme and at the farm shop, Ambridge Organics. Tony is one of life's plodders but, like the fabled tortoise, he's not done too badly overall. And he would proudly point to his classic MG Midget as evidence that he's still 'got it' - whatever 'it' is.
