Sid runs The Bull, in which he has a 49 per cent share (with Lilian Bellamy), and is married to voluptuous Jolene. This is Sid's third marriage. His first wife Polly died in 1982. Their daughter Lucy lives in New Zealand and in 2003 made Sid a grandfather, while the much younger Jamie - his son from his second marriage - lives with Kathy.
Sid's always been a sporty type and still keeps fit. Over the years he progressed from player to captain and finally manager of the Ambridge cricket team, eventually resigning after desperate discomfort about the talented - but gay - Adam Macy. But all that experience was not wasted. Sid started to encourage a new generation of cricketers, through coaching sessions at Loxley Barratt Primary.
