If Shula Hebden Lloyd is a Cliff Richard single, then her twin Kenton is the novelty B side featuring The Young Ones. After a spell in the merchant navy, with at least two failed businesses behind him, and having been bailed out on several occasions by parents Phil and Jill, Kenton returned from Australia when his wife Mel threw him out. He was lucky to be able to persuade Jack Woolley to give him a job managing Jaxx Caff, and doubly so when the new owner agreed to keep him on in 2005. Kenton means well, but he has the attention span of a mayfly. It's probably just as well that his daughter Meriel lives in New Zealand, and that the woman with whom he is involved is the level-headed Kathy Perks.
