Being the Grundy who lost Grange Farm for future generations sat heavy with Joe, but the purchase of Grundys' Field, making this former tenant into a landowner (albeit in a very small way), brightened his 80th year. Joe's often to be seen trotting around the village - in his trap, pulled by Bartleby the pony, that is.
