Elizabeth has never quite stopped being the baby of the Archer family. Despite marrying Nigel, having twins Lily and Freddie, living in an historic mansion and capably running the bulk of its commercial ventures, she's still inclined to throw her toys out of the pram - particularly at any hint that her parents Phil and Jill are favouring David, Kenton or Shula over her. Apart from sibling rivalry, Elizabeth has faced some genuine challenges in her life. Before her marriage to Nigel, she had an abortion after being dumped by swindler Cameron Fraser, and her congenital heart problem required a valve-replacement operation after the birth of the twins. Although Nigel despairs sometimes of his 'Lizzie's' competitiveness, her fighting spirit has played a big part in Lower Loxley's continued survival. |
