Suffocated by the stifling Archer clan and wife Shula Hebden Lloyd's controlling nature - and under pressure following the loss of clients from his vet's practice - Alistair found an outlet in poker. About £100,000 of his money also found an outlet, much of it to Matt Crawford. Alistair and Shula both had to accept some home truths as they rebuilt their marriage. Alistair refocused on his practice (which is based at Shula's riding stables) and his relationship with adopted son Daniel.
