Debbie Aldridge

played by Tamsin Greig

Description

For a woman who likes to get what she wants, Debbie has so far been unlucky in love. Her marriage to lecturer Simon Gerrard was shortlived and she has since sought solace in her work, becoming the shining light and advocate for her father’s business. Accused by Adam of being Brian’s favourite, her decisions regarding the Estate are not always popular. The likes of Matt Crawford, however, are always keen to keep her on side.

Debbie's a woman who likes to get what she wants. Unlucky in love first time around, her marriage to lecturer Simon Gerrard was shortlived. She sought solace in her work, becoming the shining light and advocate for her father's business. Accused by Adam of being Brian's favourite, her decisions regarding the Estate were not always popular. The likes of Matt Crawford, however, were always keen to keep her on side. Ironically the birth of Ruairi brought her closer to Adam; the two now share equal power in the business and talk things through together. And Debbie's new love Marshall Latham, who she met in Hungary, has brought out a softer side which the whole family enjoyed.
