David Archer

played by Timothy Bentinck

Description

Level-headed and dependable, easy-going David can reveal powerful emotions, as when he took the law into his own hands and shot a badger he suspected of being a carrier of bovine TB. The rock in his life is his marriage to Ruth, or it was until the end of 2006 when Ruth admitted coming very close to starting an affair with their herdsman Sam Batton. The two got back on track and are united in their efforts to keep the farm evolving and their family happy.
