Brookfield is a 469 acre mixed farm, which incorporates the old holdings of Marney's and Hollowtree. With Phil’s retirement in 2001, David contracted out the arable work to Home Farm, expanded the dairy herd and recruited contract herdsman Sam Batton. Brookfield is doing its best to get closer to the customer. High- quality beef from the Herefords is sold at the farm gate, and the lamb is marketed co-operatively under the Hassett Hills brand.
