Batman Samini is not just a hero in Ghana but last year he was voted as Best African act at the MOBO awards in the UK. The cutting edge music of Ghana is usually thought of as Hiplife, a cross between Hiphop and Highlife. But Samini's music goes way beyond Hiplife and also draws on reggae and old school highlife.
