 WOMAD Weekend with Andy Kershaw Friday 25th July 21.30 - 23.30 Andy Kershaw starts off a weekend of WOMADness that runs to over eight hours of live sets and recorded highlights from the WOMAD Festival in Reading. Performances tonight include Bembeya Jazz from Guinea, Pape and Cheikh from Senegal, and Sevara Nazarkhan from Uzbekistan, ending with a mini-set from the Radio 3 Village Stage by the UK's Eliza Carthy.

 WOMAD Weekend with Lucy Duran Saturday 26th July 13.00 - 14.00 As part of Radio 3's coverage of this year's WOMAD festival, Lucy Duran introduces a live set by the Super Rail Band of Bamako. Put together in the 1970s to entertain visitors in the foyer of the railway hotel in Mali's capital, they effortlessly blend local pop, reggae, Congolese rumba, salsa, blues, and rock 'n' roll.

 WOMAD Weekend with Andrew McGregor Saturday 26th July 22.20 - 01.00 Late-night live sets and recorded highlights from the WOMAD Festival, introduced by Andrew McGregor. Reggae legend Jimmy Cliff is live from the Open Air stage, and the UK's Nitin Sawhney and Cape Verde singer Teofilo Chantre perform in the Siam Tent. There's a recital on the sarod from Indian virtuoso Amjad Ali Khan, and Andy Kershaw introduces live acoustic mini-sets from the Radio 3 Village Stage.

Sunday 27th July 21.30 - 00.00 Andrew McGregor brings Radio 3's live coverage of this year's WOMAD festival to a close with performances by Barcelona flamenquillos Ojos de Brujo, Malian diva Oumou Sangare, and the award-winning Ensemble Kaboul from Afghanistan. Plus exclusive sets from the Radio 3 Village Stage by Manecas Costa and the Afro-European fusion group Suuf, introduced by Verity Sharp and Fiona Talkington.

 World Routes Saturday 2nd August 13:00-14:00 Lucy Duran introduces a live set by one of Cuba's most famous groups Sierra Maestra, recorded at last weekend's WOMAD festival in Reading. Stars since the 1970s, the group are modern-day pioneers of the 20s and 30s tres, trumpet and vocals-based style called son.
