Be part of our musical map of the UK. The country is buzzing with different sounds from around the world so help us celebrate your music - online, on air and on stage |
Musicians' Stories You may be a professional, or someone who makes music at home, with friends, at festivals.... Tell the story of your music.
On Your Street Share your experiences of music-making local to you. Describe the atmosphere and the live music at a local pub, restaurant, church or temple, club night....
Your Charts Turn other people on to the music that matters in your life - the music that doesn’t make the Top 40. Whether it’s the latest bhangra cassette or the lullabies you sing to your child, tell us about it here.
Hands On Don’t be put off if you don’t sing or play yet: the website will help you learn in our Online Workshops. For starters, play with the rhythms of the batá drums from Cuba or the dhol from Punjab, or try a singing workshop with Sabine Kabongo.

Online, on air and on stage Your music and stories will go up here on the website. Some of them will be featured on Radio 3 programmes like World Routes (Saturdays 1pm), and on other national, regional and local BBC stations. You could also end up performing in showcases at major events in the world-music calendar, such as WOMAD, Music Live, and the Radio 3 Awards for World Music.
We challenge all of you to tell the world about your music. Let’s draw our musical map of the UK as it REALLY sounds….
