The World on Your Street stage is dedicated to intimate acoustic performances from UK-based musicians. Friday features a typically global mix, with artists from Europe and South America.  Polish violin maestro Ricardo Czureja opens proceedings, joined by fellow violinist Rohan Kriwaczek and the Swiss accordionist Philippe Ditwe to complete the Gypsy Voices trio. There's rip-roaring ceilidh action from The Gloworms to brighten up the afternoon, followed by a virtuoso of the 24-stringed Paraguayan harp Kike Pedersen. The evening ends in style with Colombia's Papa Yera.

Candela's remarkable mix of Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern, jazzy and Celtic sounds under the auspices of guitarist Paul Aguilera opens proceedings on Saturday. They are followed by a true legend, the Sri Lankan, Tamil and Carnatic devotional singer Manickam Yogeswaren. There's a change of pace as the beautiful sounds of the Armenian duduk (also known as the Apricot Flute), drift through the afternoon, courtesy of Tigran Aleksnayan. Greek singer/songwriter Athena Andreadis' merging of traditional sounds and modern instrumentation finishes off a fabulous Saturday.

It's all African showcase on Sunday, courtesy of Africa on Your Street, in recognition of the BBC's Africa Lives season. Kicking off is Carmen Souza, showcasing a stripped down acoustic rendition of her soothing Cape Verdean music. The pace picks up with Zimbabwe's Heritage Survival Band, presenting a fusion of African mbira or thumb-piano music and Afro-jazz. Gambian griot Jally Keba Susso demonstrates his remarkable kora technique and is followed by Ghanian percussion master Nana Tsiboe. The weekend is rounded off magnificently by another virtuoso from Ghana, the exceptional koloko, (a kind of West African banjo) player Atongo Zimba.
