BEST OF THE FEST
So much to hear, so little time. There's the bands, the food, the workshops, the cabaret and the hours it takes to get your tent up. Here's a few of the unmissable acts we feel it's worth rushing from stage to stage to catch.

Youssou N'DourYoussou N'Dour
The Senegalese superstar's profile has sky-rocketed since his appearences at various Live 8 events. But rather than breathless, last-minute duets with the likes of Dido, you can enjoy the full N'Dour experience, backed by his incredible le Super Etoile de Dakar. This African legend never disappoints.

Bill CobhamBilly Cobham's Culture Mix
Your chance to catch a true jazz legend. A drumming master who has performed with the likes of Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway, George Duke, Peter Gabriel and many more.

Chango SpasiukChango Spasiuk
This year's Newcomer winner at the Awards for World Music returns to these shores with his incredible take on the traditional Argentinian sound of charame. You can also hear Chango exclusively onCharlie Gillet's Radio London show.

Chris DiffordChris Difford
The acclaimed songwriter for Squeeze, who has also performed or written with Elvis Costello, Marti Pellow and Jools Holland. For this very special appearence Chris will be taking part in a songwriting workshop in WOMAD's spiegeltent.

Yasmin LevyYasmin Levy
Another Award for World Music nominee, who, over a relatively short period, has attracted the attention of the world's press and the world music community alike. Her haunting voice and electric mix of Arabic, Jewish and Christian sounds, should end the festival perfectly.

Fatback BandFatback Band
Something for all those that think WOMAD is merely a collection of the same World Music regulars and esoteric instrumentation. This legendary funk outfit have been setting stages alight since the 1970s and over the course of 35 albums. One for the dancers.
