Radio 3's World on your Street project is a showcase for the enormous wealth of music from across the globe which can be found on our doorstep here in the UK. This year, the World on your Street stage moved to a new location – and larger tent – next to the Village Stage.

The emphasis was still on intimate acoustic performances from UK-based musicians. Friday featured Africa on your Street, from the rootsy South African Doreen Thobekile to the soulful Coco Mbassi from Cameroon. Saturday was Latin America on your Street, ranging from a hot Cuban session by Jesus Cutino to the achingly beautiful songs of Columbian Carolina Herrera. Sunday was a global mix including the premiere of World Wide Unplugged – exciting collaborations between poets and musicians who created new performance pieces for the festival. The weekend finished off with a stomping set from Brixton blues-man Errol Linton on harp.
