Ian McMillan presents a cabaret of language, poetry and performance, in which poet Simon Barraclough reads from and talks about his new collection.
On The Verb this week Ian McMillan talks to Australian novelist Julia Leigh who shares her current unpublished work in progress with the show and talks about her latest novel Disquiet, an unsettling read set in a forbidding French chateau where a mother and her two children take refuge. Also on the programme, there's performance from singer songwriter Baby Dee and poet Simon Barraclough reads from his debut collection. Ian is also joined by writer and critic Iain Sinclair to celebrate the work of the poet John Riley who died thirty years ago this year.
