Ian McMillan presents the weekly cabaret of language and literature live from the Broadcasting House Radio Theatre, London. Joining him on stage is a top line-up of writers, performers and singers, including poet Linton Kwesi Johnson and Robert Vanderplank, academic expert in global invective and insults.

Ian McMillan returns to the Radio Theatre in London with a live edition of The Verb, Radio 3's cabaret of the word.
He'll be joined on stage by the reggae poet, Linton Kwesi Johnson, the audio cartoonist, Peter Blegvad and the young singer who entranced audiences at Glastonbury and the End of the Road festival, Liz Green.
There'll also be an introduction to the fine art of invective by Dr Robert Vanderplank, author of Uglier than a Monkey's Armpit and the poet Paul Farley will be reading a brand new poem from a secret location.secret that is until the curtain rises.
