What is Twitter?
Twitter is a website that allows any number of users to send texts to it from computers, mobile phones and any other internet devices. But most importantly, Twitter allows 'tweeters' to follow anyone else's 'tweets'.
With Twitter you can share your thoughts, ideas, links and opinions with the rest of the world in under 140 characters.
BBC Radio 3 and the Proms are using Twitter to keep listeners up-to-date with our movements and activities and to gather feedback.
If you've already signed up to Twitter (it's free) you can choose to follow 'tweets' from any or all of the programmes above.
And with a Twitter client on your computer or mobile device you can easily keep up with what we and others are saying about the Proms.
