Julian Joseph reflects on the career of electric bass player Jaco Pastorius. One of the brightest jazz stars of the 1970s and a member of the groundbreaking fusion band Weather Report, Pastorius fell victim to drugs and mental health problems in the 1980s and died at the age of 35 in 1987.
