Pianist Noriko Ogawa and cellist Thomas Carroll join clarinettist Michael Collins for a programme that includes the last of Brahms' chamber compositions featuring the piano, dating from 1891 and inspired by the playing of the clarinettist Richard Mühlfeld - his Clarinet Trio in Am, Op 114.
It is preceded by Beethoven's accomplished work of a century earlier, also written for a skilled clarinettist - Trio for clarinet (or violin), cello and piano, Op 11, in B flat.
