There's live music from Karen Coker who is singing the title role in Opera North's production of Kurt Weill's musical comedy One Touch of Venus which opens at Sadlers Wells this week. She's accompanied by the conductor James Holmes and joined by cast member Christianne Tisdale.
Conductor Hugh Wolff chats to Sean about his forthcoming concert with the BBC Philharmonic in Manchester's Bridgewater Hall. The Rautio Trio round up the programme with a live performance in the studio in advance of their concert at St John's, Smith Square in London.

Duke Ellington (1899-1974)
Part Two
By the beginning of the 1930s, Duke Ellington and his Orchestra was one of the most popular jazz bands in the US. But as Swing arrived on the scene, spearheaded by Benny Goodman, a new generation of bands emerged which soon overtook Ellington in the popularity stakes. Donald Macleod looks at Ellington's reaction to this new phenomenon and introduces some of his lesser-known small ensemble numbers, as well as a selection of his best-loved melodies.
