Bamberg Symphony Orchestra
Donald Macleod introduces the third of four concerts given in the Usher Hall earlier this month by this pioneering German orchestra, the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, under its British Principal Conductor, Jonathan Nott. The programme opens with Ligeti's experimental work for 100 Metronomes and also includes a piece which Stanley Kubrick used in The Shining.
