Gluck's quick temper and combative nature earned him an unenviable reputation, and when he spent six months rehearsing his next opera for Paris, he stretched the performers' tolerance to the limit. In Search of Fela Kuti
A portrait of Nigeria's most important and influential musician, the late Fela Kuti, counter-cultural hero and inventor of the 'Afro-Beat' style. DJs Max Reinhardt and Rita Ray travel to Lagos and talk to family members and fellow musicians about this celebrated but controversial figure in Nigerian culture.
They visit the original Shrine nightclub, the house and commune which he named the Kalakuta Republic, and his birthplace in nearby Abeokuta.
