Stephanie Hughes presents the Florestan Trio featuring pianist Susan Tomes, violinist Anthony Marwood and cellist Richard Lester performing Mozart's Piano Trio in B flat K502 from LSO St Lukes, London.
Following this they are joined by violist James Boyd for the Piano Quartet in G minor K478.

Dvorak Symphonies
Continuing this week's Dvorak theme, this programme features his nationalistic Symphony No 8 alongside the Cello Concerto in Bm, one of only a handful of works composed during his four-year stint in America in the 1890s. Introduced by Warwick Thompson.

Part 1.
Martin Handley introduces a concert from Manchester's Bridgewater Hall. The Halle Orchestra, under their artistic director Mark Elder, play two staples of the Scandinavian repertoire. They begin, though, with Wagner's declaration of love, Siegfried Idyll.
The Orchestra is then joined by the Lindsays for the premiere of a new work by Manchester-based composer, John Casken - Rest-ringing for String Quartet and
Orchestra.
