Richard Wigmore recommends a version of Haydn's String Quartets, Op 76 from the currently available recordings.
Jeremy Siepmann reviews new piano recordings, including Mozart sonatas from Alfred Brendel and Richard Goode, Schumann from Maurizio Pollini, Tchaikovsky from Mikhail Pletnev, and Rachmaninov from Vladimir Ashkenazy.
Plus there's an interview with organist Dame Gillian Weir who talks about recordings including the complete works of Messiaen, Bach in Leipzig and her new disc on the restored organ of the Royal Albert Hall.

Serenades and Symphonies
Charles Hazlewood explores the very different ways in which Richard Strauss and Igor Stravinsky approached writing for the wind ensemble. He compares the youthful and the mature Strauss through the Serenade and Sonatina No 1, and examines how Stravinsky marshalled his larger forces in the iconic Symphonies of Wind Instruments.
