A Proms debut and a sparkling programme for a versatile chamber orchestra beginning with Beethoven's mythical overture and Tippet's tribute to British music through the ages. Soprano Kate Royal, winner of last year's Ferrier Award, joins them for two timeless Mozart arias, and the evening concludes with Beethoven's Little F major.
