Internationally renowned for stage, film and TV roles ranging from Shakespearian heroines to Queen Victoria in Mrs Brown, Elizabeth I in Shakespeare in Love, Iris Murdoch in Iris and M in the recent James Bond films, her choices today include works by Bach, Bernstein, Stravinsky, Rachmaninov and Sir Peter Maxwell Davies.
