Chistopher Cook presents a live concert from Manchester's Bridgewater Hall.

Mark Elder conducts the Halle Orchestra, beginning with Colin Matthews' recent orchestration of Debussy's Three Preludes, followed by Finzi's Fall of the Leaf. Then orchestra leader Lyn Fletcher is the soloist in Vaughan Williams' bucolic and verdant evocation of Fenland nature, The Lark Ascending. After the interval, it's an all Mendelssohn affair.
