Petroc Trelawny presents a concert given yesterday at the Lighthouse, Poole, by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra under Marin Alsop. Alongside Mahler's Ninth symphony - the penultimate work in their Mahler cycle - is a Wagnerian-themed percussion concerto by American composer Christopher Rouse, whom Alsop has championed.
