Perooc Trelawny presents the Brodsky Quartet opening this first series of Lunchtime Concerts from the Sage, Gateshead with three gems from the English string repertoire.
A beautiful Chacony in G minor by Purcell kicks off the proceedings, followed by Frank Bridge's early Three Idylls. The concert ends with Elgar's sublime String Quartet in Em.
