Presented by Fiona Talkington from St Andrew in the Wardrobe. Benjamin Britten and Michael Tippett were two of the most important English composers of the 20th century and were very influential in the resurgence of English song. Michael Tippett's solo cantata Boyhood's End, was actually composed for Britten and the tenor Peter Pears.
