Wednesday 23 February 2005 17:00-19:30 (Radio 3)

Tonight on In Tune Petroc Trelawny is guided around the National Gallery's new Caravaggio exhibition by Assistant Curator Xavier Bray and looks at the parallels between Caravaggio and the music of Carlo Gesualdo, Prince of Venosa.

Joining Petroc in the studio ahead of his Barbican appearance with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, acclaimed cellist Truls Mork talks about his recent recording of the Schumann Cello Concerto.

Performing live in the studio are conductor Clive Timms and students from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama: Daniella Lehner, Elisabeth Bailey and Ben Segal - performing excerpts from their forthcoming opera double bill of Ravel's l'Heure Espagnole' and Poulenc's 'Les Mamelles de Tiresias'
