Trevor Phillips, head of the Equality and Human rights Commission, remains one of the most outspoken figures in Britain today, asking searching questions about the nature of modern society.

In this challenging session, he asks whether modern liberal democracies have all the answers to the most important questions of our age.

Or will some of the challenges thrown up by today's hyper-diversity stump even our most progressive thinkers.
