5 Films on the subject of Freedom

In partnership with Contact Theatre, BBC writersroom have commissioned five writers and five film artists to make five short films on the theme of 'Freedom'.

Jon Jacob: What is Free Thinking for?

We asked Jon Jacob, You Tube's best known admirer of the BBC Proms, to sample Free Thinking at this year's festival in Liverpool. His remit was to try to answer the question 'What is Free Thinking for?'

Jon's first video, below, was shot in anticipation of his trip. Watch the one below that to see how how he got on.

Clicking on parts of the two videos below can take you to You Tube. The BBC is not responsible for the content of external websites. Some text in Jon's personal You Tube channel includes strong language. No really wild words in his videos for Free Thinking though. Jon sports a few wild facial expressions but there's no BBC disclaimer for them.

I agree. Would be a treat to have Blegvad cartoons/eartoons, etc. on a regular basis. That being said, Thank you for providing the latest offering from Mr. Blegvad, animated, no less!

Ann of Manhattan
Why Blegvad cartoons only for the festival? Why not all the time???

A festival of ideas in Liverpool 9-11Nov 07, on radio and online.
