Radio 3 at the Edinburgh International Festival 2006

Edinburgh International Festival 2006 BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra & Chief Conductor Ilan Volkov Credit: Drew Farrell Performing as part of the Lloyds TSB Scotland Concerts

Radio 3 will be there in the front row to broadcast some of the musical highlights from this year's Edinburgh International Festival.

Donald MacLeod presents 9 concerts covering the complete symphonic cycles of Beethoven and Bruckner recorded at the Usher Hall.

Sara Mohr-Pietsch presents 3 weeks of concerts from the Queen's Hall series, featuring world renowned artists such as Christian Zacharias, Soile Isokoski and Robert Holl. Sara will also be roaming the Festival in search of the best of the arts and reporting back on what she finds.

Stephanie Hughes presents 4 concerts from the Queen's Hall for Sunday Gala

On the final evening of the festival the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra performs Wagner's Meistersinger. This marks the final concert in the last Festival run by EIF organiser Sir Brian McMaster.
