Nielsen composed his witty and imaginative flute concerto for a member of the Danish Wind Quintet, conveying much of the character and personality of the player in the piece. Radio 3 New Generation Artist Sharon Bezalay is the soloist in this workshop with BBC NOW conducted by Ken Woods. Presented by Stephen Johnson.
